Introduction

Digital Literacy Class: We are going to learn about so many incredible ways to be creative, collaborative, and to communicate. We will focus on computer skills and applications. Some topics you already know about, and you will know better, and other topics and applications will be new to you! Either way, we will work together to find the ones you are able to use best. This class consists of Project-Based-Learning. You will be given plenty of time to learn the skills and applications that you will use for a lifetime. I hope you enjoy the material we will cover. - Mr. S

Today you will be reviewing the resources listed on the School District of Philadelphia's Educational Technology Department's "Internet-Safety-For-Students" Website.  Here are the steps to follow to complete your assignement today:

STEP 1:  Click the link below to go to the School District of Philadelphia's (ED TECH) Internet Safety Site.  Near the bottom of the webpage is the High School Section.  Using the links and resources provided, choose 3 different websites.  Once you take some time reviewing each site, click the active link to the site and paste it on the worksheet in the spaces provided.  You must then write 2-3 Full Sentences explaining the resources, what activities they have, and what information or topics you can learn about using them.  Make sure to identify whether you think they are good resources or not.  Explain why you think they are, or are not good resources to use for students your age.  Add any additional information about the resource you think is interesting, or facts you did not know prior to doing this assignment.  Make sure you share this information with your parents and other relatives at home.

STEP 2: (❗️) IS&S Day III (ASNCH) Worksheet - Click the link to Make A Copy in your Google Drive

STEP 3:  Read the directions on the worksheet and fill it out for credit.  Make sure to SHARE the worksheet with Mr. S (harvey.scribner@techfreire.org) for credit.
