Introduction

Digital Literacy Class: We are going to learn about so many incredible ways to be creative, collaborative, and to communicate. We will focus on computer skills and applications. Some topics you already know about, and you will know better, and other topics and applications will be new to you! Either way, we will work together to find the ones you are able to use best. This class consists of Project-Based-Learning. You will be given plenty of time to learn the skills and applications that you will use for a lifetime. Standards:  PA 3.7.7&11 Section C / NETS 2007  (State / National)

Subject: Internet Research and Find

Grade Level: 9-12

Time Duration: 60 Minutes

Overview: The student will utilize search engines and research skills to find specific information online.


Objective: To complete the WebQuest individually.


Materials: Computer and Internet Access


Activities and Procedures:   Students will utilize search engines and prior general knowledge to find and record all answers in the allotted time.  Students will turn in the forms as soon as they are completed and the time to complete shall be recorded for prizes.  Prizes will be furnished by Mr. S upon his return to class.


Conclusions: Students will be assessed on the number of correct answers, the ability to list complete websites, and the amount of time it takes to complete the search.
