Introduction

Digital Literacy Class: We are going to learn about so many incredible ways to be creative, collaborative, and to communicate. We will focus on computer skills and applications. Some topics you already know about, and you will know better, and other topics and applications will be new to you! Either way, we will work together to find the ones you are able to use best. This class consists of Project-Based-Learning. You will be given plenty of time to learn the skills and applications that you will use for a lifetime. I hope you enjoy the material we will cover. - Mr. S

10/21 - 10/22 (S): Soundtrap and FreeSound (Digital Music and Sound Effects)

Spend this class period learning how to create music with Soundtrap.com. Make sure that you create at least one 25 second (or longer) track using at least three different "loops". Try to use the menu to cut the loops, mix them, and get creative with the music you make. When you have finished a piece of music you are happy with SAVE it. You need to then click FILE and EXPORT as an MP3 or WAV so you can download it to your Chromebook.

Today you will explore digital music and sound effects even further.  Once we begin class we will review our work on Soundtrap.com.  Please be prepared to share some of your music with the class.  You will then be asked to go to Soundation.com and FreeSound.org.  You will again create new music on Soundation.com as listed below.  Please also find, and download, at least one sound effect that you like on FreeSound.org once you make an account.  You will get credit for the music you create, and for creating an account on FreeSound.org so you can use this as a resource during other projects later this year.
