Introduction

Digital Literacy Class: We are going to learn about so many incredible ways to be creative, collaborative, and to communicate. We will focus on computer skills and applications. Some topics you already know about, and you will know better, and other topics and applications will be new to you! Either way, we will work together to find the ones you are able to use best. This class consists of Project-Based-Learning. You will be given plenty of time to learn the skills and applications that you will use for a lifetime. Technology Class Introduction

ACADEMIC/LEARNING OBJECTIVE

Scholars

will participate in an introductary program that includes finding out
about classroom rules and procedures. Scholars will learn to access
reference websites, complete initial technology survey, and understand
how to complete the homework assignment. Students will be able to
understand what tools and technology mean when referencing information
for college and career readiness.

SCHOLARS WILL ENTER THE CLASS QUIETLY AND BEGIN WORKING!

Scholars

will be introduced to classroom procedures and rules. Scholars will
introduce themselves, and be introduced to some of the topics and
technology covered in the upcoming STEM class for 2016!

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to your new Technology Class! I am excited to be teaching
here at Collegium Charter Middle School. Please click the following link to review our Syllabus and Class Rules. Today we will be going over class rules and making sure that you
understand what you will be required to do in our class. Students will be required to review our Classroom Rules, Syllabus, and other information (CLICK LINK ABOVE TO REVIEW THE RULES AND SYLLABUS). SELF-ASSESSMENTS

Student Self-Assessments refer to training students to evaluate themselves, and their work, for the purpose of improving outcomes. To become capable evaluators of their work, students must have:

- a clear target (goal)

- the opportunity to help create definitions of the quality of work.

- the opportunity to correct, or self-adjust, their work before turning it in.

Students are also prompted to reflect and evaluate strengths, weaknesses, and areas of improvement. These skills will allow for planning, improvement, goal-setting, and reflection. Emphasis will be placed on integration of previous learning across the school curriculum.
