Introduction

Digital Literacy Class: We are going to learn about so many incredible ways to be creative, collaborative, and to communicate. We will focus on computer skills and applications. Some topics you already know about, and you will know better, and other topics and applications will be new to you! Either way, we will work together to find the ones you are able to use best. This class consists of Project-Based-Learning. You will be given plenty of time to learn the skills and applications that you will use for a lifetime. I hope you enjoy the material we will cover. - Mr. S

Thursday, in class, we will discuss which Rule was most popular and why?  Be prepared to discuss your choices with the class.  I will post a copy of my responses to the project below after we have had the class discussion.  I do not want to influence any of your decisions.  Good Luck!

OBJECTIVE & STUDENT OUTCOMES

Students will use online collaboration tools (Google+) to post and comment on projects in class. Students will learn how to add comments and other content to our Classroom Google Community Site.  All content will be reviewed for appropriateness, and students will be able to provide positive and constructive feedback to each other about issues, topics, and other project or class data.

Students have been given instruction on the Essential "55" in most other classes.  Students will be able to select, write, and comment on their TOP 3 rules.  Students should list why they chose the rules.

STUDENTS MUST READ ALL DIRECTIONS ON THIS WEBSITE PRIOR TO STARTING ANY ASSIGNED TASKS.  PLEASE FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS AS GIVEN FOR FULL CREDIT!

Students will log into their Google Account and click the link listed above to JOIN our classroom Google+ Community.  Students will need to create a Google+ profile to be shared within the CCS online community.  Students will then comment on specific posts outlined above, and copy/paste the link to their PSA Website created previously in class.  Students will also use class time to review the "Essential 55" document, choose their TOP 3 Rules, write each rule, and explain why they chose the rule. Worksheets are due before class ends.
